Lil Tecca
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on
August 26 the 26th of August, 2002. He is also known as Lil Tecca. His fame
exploded after the release of his 2019 single "Ransom", which reached
number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The debut mixtape of his, We Love You Tecca
(2019), featured the single. It peaked at number 4 in the US Billboard 200. The
mixtape also contained singles Love Me and Did It Again. The debut album of his
studio, Virgo (2020) it debuted at number 10 on the Billboard 200. It also
included the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles "Dolly" and
"When You Down". The second mixtape, We Love You Tecca 2 was released
in August 2021. It included the songs "Repeat It", "Lot of
Me" and many more. Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born the 26th of August,
2002, in the Queens area in New York City to Jamaican immigrants. Sharpe was
born in Queens' Springfield Gardens, and later moved to Cedarhurst on Long
Island. Sharpe was a young man with ambitions to become a basketball player.
However, his attention shifted on music when he turned twelve. Sharpe was a
student at Lawrence High School. Tecca at the age of nine at the age, was
rapping alongside his peers using his Xbox to record. The two would sometimes
berate one another. One was uploaded to SoundCloud several years ago, however
it was removed. At the beginning, he did not intend to pursue music and instead
had dreams of being an NBA superstar. But, during the middle of his schooling,
he resigned himself to basketball and considered taking music more seriously.
The first track that gained some recognition, "Tectri", was made in
collaboration with his pal, Lil Gummybear, and it was released in the early
part of 2017. Other tracks from his early days include "Callin". The
career of Tecca began a year later after the success of his single
"Ransom" that was posted to Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade YouTube
channel on May 22nd, 2019. The track reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100
chart and has received over 800 million plays on Spotify and more than 300 million
views on YouTube.
