Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix realized early on that she had a talent to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial time she tried out her skills, she placed second in 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003 signed the sports contract with Adidas. After that, she was accepted into at the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. The first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics, which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 secs. Felix was also the youngest winner of the 200-meter race at the World Championships held in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record time and time again in 2007 defeating long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top three in all event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
